Scribble Me Out
(Exercise No. 5 Non-objective Shapes)
(Exercise No. 5 Non-objective Shapes)
Description:
In this exercise,
students were tasked to scribble in their empty cartolina sheet without getting
beyond the margins. After this task, they were allowed to put colors on each
space formed from the intersecting segments of the scribbled image without one
similar color placed on adjacent spaces. After coloring the whole image, they
were tasked to find one formed object out the scribble image and name it as the
title. Students used half of the whole cartolina sheet, coloring materials, and
pentil pen for this exercise.
LEARNING
It
was easy scribbling onto the empty cartolina sheet but it was never been easy
finding an image formed from the scribbled shapes and objects. In this activity,
my patience was best stretched since aside from the difficulty of finding
formed objects, it was also a tough task to put color on each space without
having one similar color on adjacent spaces. I also learned a particular
technique in this activity with regards to emphasizing the object I found, out
of the scribbled images. It was putting the same colors inside the spaces of
the object, of course considering that no similar colors should be adjacent,
and another set of colors on the spaces outside the object. This way, the set
of colors I placed on the object would emphasize that there was something
formed from the scribbled image.
