Sketch Me
(Exercise No. 2 Bottle and Plant with Shades)
Description:
Students were allowed to sit anywhere they want for as long as they desire the point of view they have from their location. From their viewpoint, students will sketch the bottle and plant placed on a table infront of the classroom and should follow the shades of the objects they visibly see. They were allowed to use only their own pencils and a short sized bond paper.
LEARNING:
It’s not easy imitating the actual shades and shadows cast
by the leaves of the plants to the body of the bottle and vice versa, but in
this activity, I have learned, at least, how to apply shades on my sketch of
the bottle and plant based on the shading scale I made. The shading scale
helped me a lot in putting shades on my sketch of the actual image for it
somehow define the intensity of the darkness or lightness of the shadows cast
on to the bottle and on the plant.
